Every summer for the last few years I have, without really planning it, included some recipe or another in these Liquid Lines. It’s usually based on some summer harvest, seasonal tradition or otherwise locally inspired favorite. Come to think of it, they’ve mostly been sandwiches… I’m remembering the mighty sauteed softshell sandwiches I used to make with my grandmother and how much I would give for one more evening in her backyard garden with the promise of Old Bay mixed with mayo.
