With Valentine’s Day, the thought came to me to write to you about our wonderful marriage and how proud I am of being married for 65 years.
My husband, Vincent, and I are originally from Brooklyn, N.Y. Thirty-eight years ago we purchased a home here in Little Egg Harbor and we love it and love your paper so very much. We were married in 1958 on June 14, Flag Day. I was 18 and Vinnie was 21 years old.
We did not celebrate our anniversary this year; Vinnie was not feeling well. After about one year of suffering he was diagnosed with colon cancer.
