Writing Activities for Kids, Teens at LBI Library

Nov 04, 2019

November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), and young people will be involved in writing activities at the Long Beach Island branch of the Ocean County Library in Surf City. Those ages 10 to 18  will come together for writing exercises and to share their progress on Fridays, Nov. 8 and 22, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Novice and experienced youth writers are welcome.

“They can write a novel, graphic novel, comic or short story,” said Kristen Crepezzi, children’s librarian. “At the library sessions, they can work on their own or do some team writing. They can also take their notebooks back home to work on their projects. We hope this will make some youngsters interested in pursuing writing.”
