Why couples hire a wedding planner is summed up in the words of happy clients: “everything ran seamlessly,” and when their wishes were outlined, “she worked her magic and brought it to life.”

The clients were speaking of Jasmine Holak, a certified wedding and event planner who owns Let It Be Lovely Events, LLC. Based at 152 North Main St. in Manahawkin., the business services the Jersey Shore and beyond.

“I treat each and every wedding as if it were my own,” Holak said. That heartfelt sentiment is complemented by what another client termed an “extremely professional” demeanor.

The job of Let It Be Lovely Events is to ease the stress of the big day – or for a beach wedding, it’s often a whole weekend of activities. Staging a “happily ever after” can be an elaborate production requiring precise planning and a team of the best available resources – and then being there to make sure it all goes on cue.

“Planning a wedding can be a super-overwhelming task for anyone,” Holak related. “There are so many moving pieces. People don’t realize how stressed they will be, the week of the wedding, the day of the wedding. We take that stress for them.”

As one bride thanked, “Jasmine was absolutely exceptional! Our wedding was truly made possible by her ability to take on our big day as if it was her own.”

The planner’s website invites, “Whether you just need a little help with the final details and execution or an expert by your side every step of the way, we firmly believe that this is your one day to let go and trust that all of your wedding dreams will be turned into perfect memories by your team of professionals. From Wedding Day Management (most commonly called “Day of Coordination”) to Full Service Planning and everything in between, we’ve got you covered!”

Expecting the unexpected is a skill Holak is practiced in. So many couples have told her how glad they were that Let It Be Lovely was there.

“You know what? Every wedding, something goes wrong,” Holak related. “If I’m there, most brides won’t know it if something goes wrong,” she said, “but if it does, that’s why we’re there, to manage it. We’ve sewed tuxes for groomsmen, we’ve glued shoes together for a groom; you name it, we’ve done it.”

A Barnegat resident originally from Howell, “Jasmine has always had a heart for event planning,” her website introduces. “Throughout college, she organized many formals, reunions, and fundraisers for her sorority and continued this path for many years. After graduating from Moravian College, Jasmine cultivated her skills in Princeton, NJ with a corporate planning position. Here, she planned several company outings, award banquets, and holiday functions. Jasmine has a love for design and details with a true passion for top notch events which brought her into the social planning industry. She is a Certified Wedding Planner through the industry-leading The Bridal Society.”

“I am so excited to also announce that I was recently awarded The Knot’s Best of Weddings 2019,” she said. “According to The Knot, this is an annual award that recognizes the top 4 percent of wedding vendors across the country. This prestigious honor distinguishes vendors who are trusted, dependable and fun to work with. They are the highest rated wedding professionals as reviewed by real couples.”

Holak looks to build sincere relationships with each and every client and loves that she feels a connection to each wedding she plans.

“I may do this every weekend, but this is their one day,” she observed. “That’s how I really like to look at it; how would I want someone treating my wedding day? We truly care about our couples, and I want to see them super-happy.”

Consider a testimonial from a groom who wasn’t sure at first that they needed a wedding planner, but was soon grateful.

“From a Groom’s perspective who is paying for the majority of the wedding out of his own pocket the last thing you want to hear is there is another expense you were not anticipating when your beautiful bride to be informs you she needs a wedding planner. ‘Can’t you just get an app for that?’ Well it probably won’t be the only time that I was wrong and she was right but you can’t get an app for that. Not at least one that has the professionalism of Jasmine’s team, is able to save you money negotiating with all of your vendors, gently remind you that if you spend $7k on flowers you will not be able to get the best band, etc. Jasmine helped us throw an amazing party which included never-ending cocktail hour instead of a traditional sit down dinner, after-party tailgate in the vineyard, transportation to and from the hotel and made the room look beautiful, all while only spending a few hundred dollars on flowers. Laura joked with me early on that she felt that she really hired a ‘wedding best friend,’ which I thought was an amazing compliment. Jasmine’s experience showed including the small intangibles like forcing us to eat before we were announced, strongly urging that the groom bring a second shirt for when one of our guests spilled a glass of red wine on me, and double- and triple-checking with our other vendors to ensure that they were on top of their game. I am not sure if any grooms will be reading this website but if you do, looking back on the entire experience I do not know how we would have done it without Let It Be Lovely Events. They were worth every single penny we spent. Especially when you come home late from work and your soon-to-be better half wants to discuss the color scheme of your invitations and you can calmly reply ‘didn’t we hire Jasmine for that?’”

When considering how many different activities a wedding can involve, it’s easy to say “I Do” to a professional planner.

Let It Be Lovely Events can coordinate details for: “Getting Engaged, Engagement Party, Rehearsals & Parties, After Party, Bridal Luncheon, Bridal Shower, Rehearsal Dinner, Welcome Party, Wedding, Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, Day After Brunch, Reception, Rehearsal,” the list states.

Getting married at the shore ranges from a beach wedding to an elaborate venue. A beach ceremony may seem simple, but the bride may want to consider it takes more coordination to take the plunge than meets the eye.

“When you have a beach wedding, there is really no one in charge,” Holak spoke of the alternative. “You need someone to make sure the setup is all done. ... And who’s directing your guests, who’s directing the bridal party? We have headsets – people make fun of us, we look like we’re in the FBI ... but for example, you can’t see over the dune, and you don’t want the bridal party peeping over. For things you don’t necessarily think about, you may need that point person.” Or, at a larger event, a point person for vendors can ease many situations. Holak and an assistant (or if the wedding is large, a team of several assistants) “are there to handle everything.”

“We make your wedding our number one priority, using our experience and expertise in the industry,” an online description elaborates. “As a team of Certified Wedding Planners, our goal is to help our couples have the day of their dreams without breaking the bank. We have several packages to choose from but are happy to customize just for you. We understand that each couple is different, so our services are specifically based off of your budget, your needs. We strive to make your day as unique as your relationship. Contact us whether you just got engaged and don’t know where to start or did the majority of the planning but need help in the final stages. We look forward to making your day LOVELY.”

By the way, the profession does not require that a planner hold the certification that Holak does. “But I always go above and beyond for my couples, to learn every bit of the industry so I can be their best resource,” she noted. “I continue to educate – staying on top of trends, etiquette, and partnering with the best to provide my clients with top-notch service and great discounts.”
