Weichert, Realtors Names William ‘Bill’ Darby Regional Manager of Year

Christopher Anthony, regional vice president of Weichert, Realtors, announced that William C. “Bill” Darby of the Long Beach Island office was named the region’s 2018 Manager of the Year. The award recognizes one manager from Weichert’s offices in Monmouth, Ocean and Middlesex counties who demonstrated exceptional management skills and led his or her office to outstanding performance during the year.

“I am proud to have Bill as part of my leadership team, and this award is well deserved,” Anthony said. “He is an excellent recruiter and a strong mentor to his team. Bill’s passion and enthusiasm for real estate are an inspiration to his associates, and he is committed to providing the support and tools necessary to help them achieve and exceed their sales goals.”

Licensed since 1989, Darby joined Weichert, Realtors in 1996 as a sales associate and quickly made his mark. He was named Mentor of the Year, then held the roles of assistant manager of the Forked River office and regional field trainer before taking over managerial duties at the Long Beach Island office in 1999.

Darby has been recognized with several sales awards during his tenure at Weichert, including a previous Manager of the Year award in 2005. Last year, he was honored with a 2017 Presidential Sales Award in recognition of his office growth and performance.

Darby lives in Manahawkin with his wife, Suzanne, and their sons, Jonathan and Matthew. He is an avid outdoorsman and an admittedly struggling golfer.
