Toys for Tots Toy Drive Underway

Through Saturday, Dec. 7, the Long Beach Island branch of the Ocean County Library in Surf City will partner with the Beach Haven Division and Ship Bottom Division of the First Aid Squad in participating in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys For Tots collection drive.

The mission of the Toys for Tots program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute these toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community.

Persons wishing to donate a new, unwrapped toys may drop it off anytime at the collection box under the covered entrance of the Beach Haven First Aid Squad building on Central Ave. Toys will also be collected at the Beach Haven First Aid Squad building on the day of the Ship Bottom Christmas Parade, Dec. 7.

You may also drop toys off in the collection box inside the library during regular branch hours, Monday and Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
