Stop Politics in Schools

Aug 28, 2019

To the Editor:

Regarding “Mayor Cirulli’s Views Go Viral After Verbal Blast at LGBTQ” (8/14): As a citizen of Barnegat Township, I am very disappointed and sad that politics are damaging, destroying and discrediting our school system, when I read personal opinions in letters criticizing Mayor Cirulli. But they forgot that if people criticize someone, they should give solutions to the problems.

As a matter of fact, let me remind all of you that Mother Nature created different kinds of skin color in human beings, different vegetation, flowers, trees, different birds, different terrestrial animals, different aquatic fish and different celestial planets and stars.

Therefore, we are not equal, even though we have equal rights. We have to learn to have respect, understanding and consideration for ourselves. We have to have respect for each other. We have to learn to respect different ways of life, and different cultures, beliefs and religions.

Needless to say, we have to respect people of our American society. We have to be proud and respect our flag, and our laws and regulations of our free country, the United States of America.
