Stafford Library ‘Friends’ Going to Winterthur Museum

Apr 02, 2019

The Friends of the Stafford branch of the Ocean County Library are planning a bus trip to the Winterthur Museum and Gardens in Delaware on Thursday, May 9. The museum is currently home to “The Crown” exhibit.

The bus leaves the parking lot across the street from the branch at 7:30 a.m. Return time is 6 p.m.

Tickets are $75 per person; the reservation deadline is Tuesday, April 9. The cost includes tours of the DuPont House, lunch at the Garden Café and tour of “The Crown” exhibit. It features 40 iconic costumes from the Emmy award-winning Netflix series, a dramatized history of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. The exhibition provides a behind-the-scenes look at how costume design is used to create drama and to re-create history.

For information on reservations, call Barbara Liberti at 609-597-8801 or Dianne Mann at 609-488-2157. E.E.
