By Victoria Ford | Sep 27, 2019

Stafford Township — Stafford Township’s annual Fall Harvest and Wine Festival is set for Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 12 and 13, at Manahawkin Lake Park, noon to 5 p.m. both days, rain or shine.

Saturday’s activities include a Halloween parade at noon (line up at the firehouse at 11:30), the costume contest, hayrides, a jalapeño eating competition, scarecrow making, a pumpkin patch, craft and food vendors.

On Sunday, don’t miss the classic car show and live music from ’80s tribute band Ridgemont High. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets to sit and enjoy the music.

Admission to the festival is free; bring a nonperishable food item for the hayride, which benefits the Free Little Pantry.

The eighth annual wine festival is both days, on the south side of the park near the pavilion. Participants can enjoy a selection of nearly 100 wines from the state’s leading wineries: Auburn Road Vineyard, Chestnut Run Farm, Coda Rossa Winery, Cream Ridge Winery, DiMatteo Winery, Monroeville Vineyard and Winery, Plagido’s Winery, Wagonhouse Winery and Villari Vineyards. Tickets are $12 in advance, or $15 at the gate; admission is free for designated drivers and those younger than 21.
