Southern Ocean Chamber Kicks Off Holiday Shopping Season Nov. 13

Manahawkin — The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce invites businesses to take part in the official Holiday Shopping Season Kickoff taking place on Wednesday, Nov.13, at the Mainland Holiday Inn starting with an 8 a.m. check-in. It all begins with championing Shop Small Saturday and the “shop local” movement. Learn how to get your business registered to participate in this innovative promotion.

The meeting will also talk about top customer service trends. Tips will be presented by Michael Forcella of Ocean County College Business Engagement.

Also, new this year is digital mapping to give customers an easy guide to where to find holiday offers at member businesses of the chamber. Learn all about it at a presentation at the meeting.

This meeting in the chamber’s Innovate and Caffeinate series includes a breakfast buffet, networking, and a chance to pick up “Shop Small Saturday” swag and materials.

The Southern Ocean Chamber’s Holiday Redefined Shopping program was created to generate extra exposure for retail and restaurant businesses that are offering additional services and extended hours for holiday shoppers. Launched in 2017, it shares updated blogs and social postings featuring participating members who are open, as well as in-store specials and holiday happenings with the new mapping technology.

RSVP to the chamber office. The cost to attend the breakfast is $25 per person with advance RSVP, or $30 at the door.

The Mainland Holiday Inn is located at 151 Route 72 East in Manahawkin.
