The Lighthouse International Film Festival continues its year-round screenings for local film fans with a showing of “Wild Rose.” The screening, sponsored by the Lighthouse International Film Society and Maggie O’Neill of Mary Allen Realty, will begin at 7 p.m.

A full Happy Hour menu will be available for purchase starting at 4 p.m.

“With an electrifying soundtrack performed by Buckley, ‘Wild Rose’ is a joyous human story steeped in music, courage, family and achieving your dreams, no matter how far away they may appear. After all, all you need are three chords and the truth.”

Critic Roger Ebert said the movie “repeatedly upends your expectations of how a film like this is supposed to play out – how it should look, how it should sounds” while a Washington Post article notes, “Heartbreak can and does become something beautiful” in “Wild Rose.”

The movie is rated R for language and some sexuality and drugs.

Purchase tickets online for $5 at lighthousefilmfestival.org.

Tickets at the door are $7. Advance ticket purchase is strongly encouraged.
