Surf City — Scojo’s Dine To Donate is a day when 20 percent of sales at the popular Surf City eatery will go to the Hunger Foundation of Southern Ocean. That day is Tuesday, May 28, which by no coincidence is World Hunger Day.

The restaurant’s participation starts bright and early at 7 a.m. and runs until closing at 3 p.m. The promotion includes all sales, including takeout.

The Hunger Foundation of Southern Ocean works toward the goal of making sure that no family or individual in Southern Ocean County goes hungry. The local nonprofit volunteer organization provides funding for area food banks.  —M.S.
