Pops Concert Sept. 22 at Little Egg Harbor Firehouse

Little Egg Harbor — The Pineland Symphonic Band is giving a free concert hosted by the Southern Ocean Congregational Church on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 3 p.m. at the Parkertown Volunteer Fire Co. firehouse in Little Egg Harbor.

The band is a symphonic wind ensemble of 35 musicians playing brass, woodwinds and percussion instruments. They have been performing in New Jersey for over 20 years, bringing concerts to numerous venues, including the retirement communities of Ocean County and local schools.

Like a pops ensemble, the band offers a varied repertoire guaranteed to please every musical taste with selections from Broadway, the big band era and Dixieland, plus classical pieces and marches. Light refreshments will be served after the concert, and the audience can mingle with members of the band.
