Outdoor Showers NJ recently changed its name to Outdoor Living on the Bay, a move in line with its expansion from dealing solely with outdoor shower enclosures to seasonal furniture and other decorative amenities to make your home more attractive. The business is located at 1316 East Bay Ave. in Manahawkin, the site where it opened in 2011.

Owner Dawn M. Samuels said the company’s Serenity Enclosures line comes in 12 different models that will suit your outdoor lifestyle and landscaping needs. Whether you choose single, double or cabana outdoor shower kits, the enclosures are secure and private with no peek-a-boo areas. Custom outdoor shower units are available upon request.

The modular outdoor shower enclosures are crafted from 100 percent pure virgin PVC vinyl, combined with welded frames and reinforced supports. This structure provides superior construction to last a lifetime and will always look new.

“We also have a manufacturing plant in Lakewood,” said Samuels. “In the beginning we outsourced the parts, but now we have our own plant and warehouse.”

Samuels said that when the company was exclusively in the outdoor shower business, it had to close during the winter. But through adding furniture and other features, and thus its new name, it can now stay open year ’round.

She said one of the newer offerings is EcoLattice, which she said is “like nothing you’ve ever seen before.”  Beautiful, functional and easy to assemble, eco-friendly modular lattice panels can be set up in minutes. Tools and maintenance are not required since it does not contain unsightly, breakable plastic panels. They also do not rot, split or warp, as they are durable and weather resistant.

“You can use them in your garden, around your patio or pool, or anywhere you like to make a unique and beautiful focal point in your yard,” she said. “You can create spectacular garden settings, private outdoor areas, or even a wedding backdrop with Eco-Lattice panels and sets. The possibilities are limitless.”

In addition, Samuels said EcoLattice is made from an eco-friendly exterior rated material tested to be completely weather resistant. You can paint it your desired color and further extend the longevity of these panels.

“You  can create endless designs and patterns by displaying decorative flowers, hanging plants and flower pots on your EcoLattice set,” she said.

Also new to the business’s inventory is outdoor furniture, including high-bar seating, high-top counter tables, fire pits and umbrellas.

To sum it up as the company says on its Facebook Page, “We are all about helping you expand your outdoor living and spend less time inside your home. Umbrellas and much more. We are all about one stop shopping with delivery on most items within a week.”

Outdoor Living serves customers from Toms River to Ocean City. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. It is closed Sunday.
