Surf City, NJ — The Garden Club of Long Beach Island’s Youth Group celebrated the holidays by creating flower arrangements using local evergreens, pine cones and baby carnations plus Frosty the Snowman in a red scarf and jaunty felt hat.

Each young designer personalized their snowman at the Island branch of the Ocean County Library in Surf City. Garden club co-chairs of the Youth Group Ginny Scarlatelli and Jeannette Michelson, along with members Judy Bouton, Camille Sharp and Diane Ricci, gave pointers to the 13 young designers.

The Youth Group is part of the Garden Club of LBI’s continuing commitment to planting, conservation, education, environment and beautification of LBI and surrounding areas. Information on joining the club can be found on the website thegardencluboflbi.com.
