Library System Unveils ‘Beanstack’ App to Track Activities

By ERIC ENGLUND | Jun 05, 2019

Ocean County — The Ocean County Library System announces it has implemented Beanstack, a one-stop shop for tracking your reading progress and activities at the library. Daniel Fitzgerald, library system spokesman, said customers can earn digital badges by logging books, tracking reading times or pages read; attend programming; or write reviews for year-round reading challenges.

He said Beanstack allows customers to keep track of all family members’ reading logs, progress and rewards on one account; earn digital badges during reading challenges all year long; receive weekly book recommendations; read and write book reviews; and explore book lists.

“The app Beanstack Tracker lets you time your reading sessions, log books by scanning their ISBN numbers, keep a log of current and past reading, track daily reading stats, and achieve streaks for reading multiple days in a row,” said Fitzgerald.

In addition, pre-registration for the summer reading program is underway, and participants can begin logging books to count toward the Summer Reading Challenge on June 15.

To begin, visit theoceancountylibrary.beanstack.org, or download Beanstack Tracker to your tablet or smartphone.
