Leadership Questioned

Apr 10, 2019

To the Editor:

Now that Robert Mueller has completed his work and his report has been handed over to attorney general’s office, President Trump is ready to spike the football.

He believes “there are a lot people out there that (sic) have done some very evil things, very bad things, I would say treasonous things against our country.” Should we be surprised by his rhetoric? It seems as if he, and some of his right-wing pundits, are calling his political enemies and some journalists treasonous. The penalty for treason is death.

Putting political enemies and journalists to death – I’m sure a portion of his base agrees, and would be happy to carry out the sentence. Is this an example of Trump’s “leadership”?

What kind of a country are we becoming? From what country is he learning?
