Beach Haven — Music lovers can enjoy free concerts under the stars at Veterans Memorial Park, located on Beach Avenue between Engleside Avenue and Amber Street in Beach Haven, during the Concerts on the Green. The music at the gazebo, presented by the Beach Haven Community Arts Program, will be held on Wednesdays from late June through late August, from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

Concert-goers may bring a chair or blanket. In case of rain, the concerts will be held across the street from the park at the Long Beach Island Historical Museum.

“People can sit back and listen or get up and dance,” said Rob Meyer, CAP event coordinator. “It’s a free night of fun for the whole family.”

The series will begin on June 26 with classic rock band Garage Kept, a popular attraction since it consists of local musicians.

The rest of the schedule is the Rave-ons (classic rock), July 3; Carnaby Street (British Invasion hits), July 10; Jimmy and the Parrots (Jimmy Buffett tribute band), July 17;  McLean Avenue Band (Irish), July 24;  Capt. Eric and the Shipwrecks (classic, alt rock), July 31; The Kootz (classic rock), Aug. 7; Tequila Rose (country), Aug. 14; Diablo Sandwich Band (classic rock), Aug. 21; and AXA Band (classic rock), Aug. 28.

Special kids’ concerts with Makin’ Music Rockin’ Rhythms will be held on Tuesdays, July 16 and Aug. 20, at 7 p.m.
