Fusaro’s Opens Additional Location in Forked River

Lacey Township, NJ — Fusaro’s Pizza and Pasta, which opened in Manahawkin 10 years ago, now has a second area location, in Forked River at 725 South Main St. (Route 9). Andy Costagliola, Fusaro’s owner, said the new location operates out of the former site of Vesuvio Pizza.

“(Vesuvio owner) Sal’s been a great friend of mine for years, almost like a cousin,” Costagliola said. “He was ready to step away from the pizzeria business. Over the years, we’d been talking, and I finally made the move to acquire it. He thought I was the best buyer for taking the business forward.”

Sal and other Vesuvio employees will continue working there, Costagliola said.

Costagliola said like the Manahawkin site, the eatery sets to provide authentic Italian food in an “elegant yet casual setting.”

“Much of the same menu items for lunch or dinner will be available in Forked River,” he said.

Costaglia, 34, grew up in the pizza business. His father, Andre Costagliola, has run Naples Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria in Barnegat for approximately 30 years.

“Between working for my father as well as my uncle in Toms River, this has been a big part of my life,” he said.

Hours at the Forked River location are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week. Telephone is 609-693-3333. —
