Tuckerton — Tuckerton’s Pride and Celebration Committee in conjunction with the Tuckerton Seaport again offer a free summer concert series on Fridays, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on the Seaport’s outdoor stage.

To start the 2019 series, RB Express brings their doo-wop, oldies and retro sounds to the stage on July 12; Craig Newell, Elvis impersonator, croons the King’s favorite tunes on July 19; country tribute band Fabulous Silver Wings brings classic country alive on July 26.

August heats up with The Kootz on Aug. 2. Calling themselves, “a rock and roll band with fiber” made up of “Jersey guys who can’t seem to retire their guitars!”, they promise a good time. The Basement Musicians catch our throats with the songs of Johnny Cash and Roy Orbison on Aug. 9. Make way for three classy women as the Blondettes take the stage on Aug. 23 to harmonize popular tunes from ABBA to Adele, from Beyonce to The Beatles – all in swing time. Gas Pedal Steel winds up the series on Aug. 30. The band was formerly The Fredstones; this new iteration means more country-western, rockabilly and classic rock and roll to dance to!

Dancing is allowed on the fringes of the clamshell open-air auditorium that requires you to bring your own chair! Sorry, no alcohol or dogs (service dogs always allowed). Smoking is only permitted in the parking lot. Children are welcome to come play on the Seaport’s pirate jungle gym.

Concerts are free, parking is limited. Tuckerton Seaport is located at 220 Main St. (Route 9) at the head of historic Tuckerton Creek.
