Check Out Veteran Showman Joey Vincent at Manahawkin Elks Lodge on Jan. 18

By David Biggy | Jan 13, 2020

Stafford Township, NJ — Joey Vincent has been performing professionally, in both classical and popular music, for more than 30 years. He has played in the famed Carnegie Hall, the Philadelphia Academy of Music and Toronto Symphony Hall. On Saturday, Jan. 18, he’ll be in Manahawkin.

Starting at 7 p.m., the Manahawkin Elks Lodge 2340 hosts a comedy show with Vincent followed by dancing, and the event is open to the public.

Vincent began his musical training in classical trumpet, but by the time he started college he knew he wanted much more. After two years, he left college to go on the road with a professional show, returning after a year to continue his studies and work his way through college by playing with local show groups. It was here that he discovered he had an ability to sing, do impressions and make people laugh.

After graduation, he threw himself into full-time performing, touring throughout the U.S. with other top shows. In 1991, Vincent was ready for his own one-man show, blending comedy, impressions, singing, dancing and trumpet playing into a first-rate musical entertainment experience.

Tickets, at $15 per person, can be purchased at the Elks Lodge, 520 Hilliard Blvd. For more information, call the lodge at 609-597-1107. —D.B.
