Blueberry Festival at Church of the Holy Spirit

Tuckerton — Blueberries on waffles, in pies, muffins, breads and relishes, on aprons, scarves and works of art – it must be the annual Blueberry Festival at Church of the Holy Spirit Episcopal in Tuckerton on Saturday, July 13, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Start the day with breakfast of a Belgian waffle topped with blueberries and served with coffee, juice and sausages for just $8. Then peruse the vendors on two floors selling art, handmade soap, handcrafted clothing, jewelry, white elephants and much more. Historic painter Cathleen Engelsen will have prints of her work and her grandfather’s famous views of Tuckerton in the 1920s and ’30s.

Don’t forget to purchase the church’s famous blueberry pies – these go fast. Lunch is also available.

The church is located at 220 East Main St. at the corner of Route 9 and Cedar Street. Handicapped ramps are available for both floors. For more information, call 609-296-9618. —P.J.
