Beach Haven CAP Holiday Celebration Dec. 7

By Eric Englund | Nov 08, 2019

Beach Haven — On Saturday, Dec. 7, the Beach Haven Community Arts Program will hold a holiday program and tree lighting ceremony at 7 p.m. at the LBI Historical Association Museum in the borough. Rob Meyer, event coordinator, said the program includes a community sing-along featuring numerous popular carols, as well as a reading of The Night Before Christmas.

“The song that the audience loves to do is the ‘12 Days of Christmas,’” he said.

The tree is located by the gazebo in the nearby Veterans Memorial Park.  After the lighting, the Beach Haven Volunteer Fire Co. will transport Santa Claus to the festivities, where he’ll stop by to give out candy canes and pose for pictures with children. Refreshments follow at the snack stand in the park.

“It’s a fun night for families and the community,” said Meyer. “The museum fills up quickly, so if you want a good seat, it’s best you get there early.”
