Barnegat Food Pantry Reaching Out to Help Children

By ERIC ENGLUND | Jun 12, 2019

Barnegat — With children home for summer vacation, the Barnegat Food Pantry is seeking donations of breakfast and lunch items.

“Cereals, snacks and other foods would be very much appreciated,” said Township Committeeman Albert Bille, who is liaison to the pantry. “Without these donations, needy families with children might not be able to enjoy a breakfast and lunch, which they could get at school.”

He said food donations can be brought to the collection bin at the front of the pantry, located at 360A North Main St. (Route 9), on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“We also could use donations of toilet paper, toothpaste and other personal hygiene products,” said Bille.

Checks can be sent to the pantry at P.O. Box 816, Barnegat, N.J. 08005. Telephone is 609-698-7174. —E.E.
