Anti-God Agenda

Sep 25, 2019

To the Editor:

People continue to misuse the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution to force their agenda. The words of the Bill of Rights clearly state: Congress shall make no law respecting an established religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. Translation: Government is not to prohibit anyone’s free speech regarding their religion.

“Separation of church and state” is a paraphrase of the establishment clause and free exercise clause (First Amendment), meaning government is not to establish any one religion to be followed. The phrase is not in the Constitution. Rather it was written in a letter by President Thomas Jefferson to ensure that Americans would not be coerced into worshiping a certain religion, as was the case in England.

The twisting of “separation of church and state” comes from anti-God people who wish to stifle the voices of those who live according to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob – as if this God pushes anything horrible on anyone.

As far as the homosexual and transgender program some are fighting for, parents should absolutely retain the right to opt out. Bullying needs to be stopped, and that includes bullying the people of God.
