Short Stacks for a Tall Cause Benefits Family of the Late Tim Kohlheim

Manahawkin — Proceeds from a breakfast fundraiser at Applebee’s on Sunday, Nov. 10, arranged by the Beach Bums Corvette Club will benefit the family of the late Tim Kohlheim, owner of Shore Fire Grill. Applebee’s Short Stacks for a Tall Cause will be held at Applebee’s Manahawkin location at 205 Route 72 West, from 8 to 10 a.m.on Sunday, Nov. 10.

Tickets are $10 for a meal of pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs and a beverage (coffee, juice, soda,or tea). They can be obtained at the door. However, to arrange ahead of time from the Beach Bums Corvette Club, email, call 201-805-0350 or mail cash or check to a locked mailbox at the address of John Cocuzza, 926 Sandy Circle, Manahawkin, N.J. 08050.

Said Cocuzza, “As a club, we do a lot of functions on the Island, too, so we were very familiar with Tim and the restaurant. We know he was very good with community work himself, and we’re just trying to do a little something back that he would have done if somebody else was in this situation.”  —M.S.
