AC Boat Show Launches 2019 Season

Fueling dreams of on-water getaways, the 2019 Progressive Insurance Atlantic City Boat Show is an attraction Feb. 27-March 3 at the Atlantic City Convention Center.

Many Southern Ocean County marine businesses will be there displaying.

Signed up are: Beach Haven Auto & Marine, Ship Bottom; Beach Haven Charter Fishing Association; Causeway Marine, Manahawkin; Good Automatic Windlass, Barnegat; Hagler's Marina, Brant Beach; Hance & Smythe, Manahawkin; Jarvis Marine Inc., Tuckerton; MarineMax, Ship Bottom; Princeton Audio Video, Manahawkin; Recreational Fishing Alliance; S P Marine Services, Barnegat; Sea Tow CNJ, Barnegat; Sheltered Cove Marina, Tuckerton Beach; South Harbor Marine Sales, Waretown; Southern Ocean Cycle Center, Manahawkin; Surf City Marina; TowBoatUS, Barnegat Light & Beach Haven, Waretown; Tuckerton Marine Service Center; Viking Yachting Center, & Valhalla Boat Sales, New Gretna.

The 5-day event is a once-a-year chance to compare boat makes and models, secure insurance and financing, and gear up with the latest accessories all at one time, under one huge roof.

The local businesses listed are among 440 booths in the Marine Marketplace, a 93,000-square-foot “show within the show.” They’ll be offering the latest in marine technology, engines, accessories, nautical gifts, and more, including motorcycles. The vendors hail from all over the East Coast and as far away as California.

The 500-plus boats for sale encompass luxury motor and sailing yachts, sport fishers, performance boats, inflatables and personal watercraft.

Tickets are $16 for adults; children 12 and younger get in free. Advance tickets can be purchased online at at a $2 discount through 11:59 p.m. Feb. 26.

On Feb. 27 only, military and first responders get $3 off the ticket price; US Coast Guard Auxiliary and US Power Squadron members get in free with valid identification.

Hours are Wednesday 11 a.m.- 8 p.m.; Thursday 11 a.m.-8 p.m.; Friday 11 a.m.-8 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; Sunday 10 a.m.- 6 p.m.

Get expert fishing tips from the pros. New features include a fishing simulator, a scavenger hunt for giveaways, an indoor paddle pool, an expanded Touch-a-Boat tour for kids, and much more.

Tour the “Queen of the Show” – The Galeon 430 Skydeck, a luxurious 43-foot motoryacht with stunning accommodations. Its transformational sundeck creates five completely different entertainment layouts in a matter of seconds.

Another star of the show is the Miss GEICO race boat, the world’s fastest catamaran, breaking speeds of 200 mph.
